Anatolian Eagle 2025 Catalin Oprea, February 12, 2026February 12, 2026 From June 23 to July 4, 2025, the Turkish Air Force hosted Anatolian Eagle 25, a large-scale multinational air combat exercise held at the 3rd Main Jet Base Command in Konya. This year’s edition brought together NATO members Hungary and the United States, alongside NATO partners Azerbaijan, Jordan, and Qatar. The exercise focused on advanced, high-tempo air combat operations aimed at improving interoperability between participating air forces and strengthening NATO’s collective defense capabilities. Flying missions were conducted daily from Konya, replicating complex operational environments that included beyond-visual-range engagements, coordinated strike packages, suppression of enemy air defenses (SEAD), and increasingly relevant scenarios such as drone and cruise-missile interception. Anatolian Eagle remains one of the most demanding live-fly training events in the region, providing realistic combat conditions and integrated command-and-control execution. Among the aircraft observed during the exercise were multiple fighter platforms from participating nations, operating alongside Turkey’s national aerobatic team, the Turkish Stars, which is also based at the 3rd Main Jet Base in Konya. Below is a selection of fighter aircraft that took part in Anatolian Eagle 25, together with the Turkish Stars demonstration team.
